If we are going to process indoor splays, it is recommended to use ALPOL AG T29 gypsum plaster applied by hand. It can be used for patching chipped areas up to several centimetres thick, and the quality of the finished surface is comparable to the one obtained by using gypsum finish coat.... Read more

I am planning to redecorate a facade insulated thermally with Styrofoam and covered with mineral plaster several years ago. Its surface has never been painted and it is riddled with small cracks. It does not, however, fall off and seems to be solid. What paint is recommended for such application?

For redecorations, it is recommended to use ALPOL AG T30 gypsum plaster for machine application. The plaster can be applied in a coat up to several centimetres thick. I have added a garage. I want the ceiling surface to be smooth. However, there are formwork traces left on the ceiling. What is the easiest and quickest way to plaster it?

For small areas, it is recommended to use ALPOL AG T29 gypsum plaster applied by hand. It can be applied by hand once in an 8 mm coat or several times by spreading the plaster with a wide float. A smooth surface can be obtained within 1.5 hours.... Read more

Is it required that waterproofing courses made with AH 754 mortar be covered with tiles?

I would like to paint joints between a suspended ceiling and wall at the attic with AF 645 highly flexible paint. Despite several coats of paint, there are still new cracks appearing on the surface. Will this paint solve the problem?

Cracks in attics are fairly common and are caused by motions of the roof structure. The cracks develop dynamically. Covering them with Alpol AF 645 highly flexible acrylic paint will help, but there is no guarantee to fully eliminate the problem. In areas where the motions are especially strong, the only solution might be to use masking profiles.... Read more

The facade of my building is covered with a highly cracked cement and lime plaster. The plasterer must have used too much cement, making the plaster too solid. Despite being cracked, the plaster does not fall off. Locally, the cracks are definitelyeasy to spot but they has stopped growing larger anymore. Can I use flexible paint to cover them?

If the cracks are smaller than 0.25 mm, you can also use Alpol AF 685 flexible silicone paint. Good vapour permeability is its additional advantage. If the cracks are larger, the only solution is to use Alpol AF 645 highly flexible acrylic paint.... Read more
