We have bought a house whose façade is covered with algae. In the spring we are going to insulate and redecorate it. What might cause algae to appear on the façade and how can we prevent it? Is it easy to remove such a layer?

Which flexible paint is suitable for application onto external plaster in a building made of cellular concrete 40 cm wide. With the plaster being locally cracked, I wanted to use acrylic plaster (dashed plaster), but I found out that such surfaces should not be covered with thin-layer plaster.

Plaster on single-layer walls should be covered with decorative plaster or paint highly permeable to vapour. It is then admissible to use thin-layer plaster that meets this requirement, e.g. silicone and silicate plaster from the Alpol AT 370-378 range.... Read more
