First of all, have that done by professionals. They will know how much finishing compound to prepare at a time to avoid production of waste. It is, however, much more convenient is to use ALPOL AT 307 lime finish. The wall finish compound can be applied without the need of sanding. Sufficient accuracy and smoothness is achieved just by smoothening the applied material with a stainless steel float or a tool called a “feather”. Another advantage of that material is no waste being produced. If some prepared mix is left in the basket, you can fill it with water and leave to use it the other day. After pouring the water out and stirring the mix with a low-speed mixer, fully usable material is regained to be applied on walls or ceiling.
