Substrate type
Mineral wool boards (primed by the manufacturer or non-primed) in the ceiling insulation system ALPOL STROP WM, cement-lime plaster, concrete substrates, silicate walls built with thin-layer mortars, gypsum boards, wood-like boards.

Substrate preparation
The ALPOL STROP WM system requires mineral wool boards to adhere tightly with each other. The board surface should be clean, dry and undamaged. Mineral substrate (concrete, cement-lime plaster, silicate walls) should be dry, clean, stable, sound and properly seasoned (concrete and cement-lime plaster – 28 days after application). Remove brittle and loose material of poor bonding strength, patch spots with ALPOL AZ 130 quick-setting mortar or ALPOL AZ 135 levelling mortar. Substrate of high water absorption (e.g. silicate walls) should be initially primed with primer for absorbing substrates ALPOL AG 704 to reduce and at the same time obtain the same absorbency. All substrates except for mineral wool should be primed with ALPOL AG 701 or ALPOL AG 705 at least 6 hours before painting. It is recommended to stain the primer to the colour of the spray paint.

Instructions for use
Carefully mix the paint with a low-speed mixer before application. It is recommended to use a mechanical spraying method, applying one or two layers. The paint should be sprayed with a uniform jet perpendicularly to the surface from a distance at least of 30 cm. The second layer may be applied only after the first one has dried out completely i.e. no sooner than after 6 hours. In case the paint is applied on mineral wool that was not primed by the manufacturer, it is recommended to apply the paint in two layers in order to cover the surface thoroughly and to avoid unevenly coloured places. When applying manually, use a stainless steel float and level to the grain thickness, and then trowel with a plastic float to achieve required texture. Continue working on a given surface to avoid differences in paint texture. Mineral wool substrates cannot be painted by hand. In case of colourful paints, it is recommended that paint of the same batch is applied to cover the entire surface. If the paint is applied at the colour joint, building and ceiling corners, the works should be stopped accordingly.

Tools
Spraying gun with a 4 mm nozzle or hydrodynamic spraying unit with a 4÷6 mm nozzle, mixer or electric low-speed drill, basket mixer; when applied by hand – stainless steel float, trowel and plastic float.

Working conditions
Before use, check if the colour is as ordered. Work in ambient temperatures between +5°C and + 25°C. The paint must not be mixed with other paints, bonds, fillers or stains not included in the staining system. Do not thin with water. Do not use dirty or rusty tools or containers. Avoid working in intense, direct sunlight, draught and high air humidity. Incorrect conditions at paint application and drying phases may result in discolouration and tint distortion.

Storage
In original, not damaged, tightly closed containers in temperature between +5°C and +25°C – shelf life 12 months from production date. Protect the product from freezing and overheating while being stored and transported.

Notes
The specifications and instructions for use are given for the temperature of (20±2)°C and relative air humidity of (60±5)%. Drying and final set time may alter in different conditions. Wear safety goggles. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Protect your skin. Use protective clothing and gloves. Keep away from children. Clean fresh stains with water. The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for damage caused by unskilful or inappropriate use of the product.
