FAQ
Last year I had my elevation made of AT 311 plaster. As the AT 326 mineral ultra-white plaster was to be applied in spring, the plasterers decided just to skim the wall off and left the plaster like that. The plasterers, who came this year to apply the decorative plaster, said the plaster was disintegrating and I would have to pay extra for applying a putty coat. Please advise, how to avoid the additional cost.
Had the structural plaster been applied in the past year, you would not most probably have such problem. The plasterers, knowing that the plaster was to be left unprotected for all the season long, should have trowelled it with Styrofoam floats after skimming and left it as such for the winter break. If they failed to that, this time simply sweep loose sand grains of the elevation with a rough brush. Then, treat the wall with ALPOL AG 701 white primer and, one day after, apply the ALPOL AT 326 ultra-white pebble dash mineral plaster.
